Journey to Alice’s Wonderland Launch Day
16th May 2026
Join us for a truly special day at Fairytale Farm as we celebrate the official opening of Journey to Alice’s Wonderland — our first ever ride.
This magical new immersive family dark ride, inspired by Lewis Carroll’s original Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, will be officially opened at 1pm by Sooty and his TV partner, Richard Cadell, both from the popular ITV children’s series.
Then, at 2pm, Sooty and Richard Cadell will return for a Meet & Greet, where visitors will have the chance to meet them and have a photograph taken with them.
Richard took over the TV reigns of Sooty from Matthew Corbett in 1998, and the most recent series can be seen on ITV X.

Step into Wonderland

Journey to Alice’s Wonderland takes visitors on a gentle journey through the curious and colourful world of Wonderland. Along the way, you’ll encounter Alice, the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, the Caterpillar, the Queen of Hearts and more, all brought to life through richly themed scenes, animatronic characters, atmospheric lighting and enchanting sound.
Inspired by the original story and its classic storybook world, the ride is a magical new experience for families and marks an exciting new chapter for Fairytale Farm.
A very special Oxfordshire connection

There is nowhere more fitting for this adventure than Oxfordshire. Lewis Carroll had strong links to Oxford, making Journey to Alice’s Wonderland the first permanent Alice in Wonderland ride in Oxfordshire — bringing this timeless literary classic home to the county that inspired it.
