Christmas Fairytale 2024
23rd Nov 2024 - 24th Dec 2024
Step into the enchanting world of our Christmas Fairytale 2024, where the magic of the season comes alive with every twinkling light and festive experience. Running on weekends from 23rd November to 8th December and daily from 9th December through to Christmas Eve, this year’s event promises to be our most memorable yet. Santa’s Grotto is open until 5pm, with extended hours until 7pm on select dates.
Travel Back to Victorian Times
This year, immerse yourself in the timeless charm of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol as we recreate the bustling streets of Victorian London. Delight in all your favourite experiences from previous years, such as our cosy Grotto, the enchanting Fairytale Castle walk-through, and our dazzling Christmas illuminations. Plus, enjoy new additions like Tom’s Toy Shop and the heartwarming magic of a Dickensian Christmas.
Book Early!
Tickets are available exclusively online, and this event typically sells out quickly—so be sure to secure your spot in advance.
Your Christmas Journey
Your adventure begins with a special passport that guides you through the magic of Christmas across different lands and eras. At each stop, an elf will stamp your passport, marking your journey through time.
Highlights of the Christmas Fairytale 2024 include:
- Begin Your Journey: One of Santa’s elves will lead you to a fairy tale castle, where your adventure from the South Pole to the North Pole begins.
- Meet the Penguins: Enjoy an interactive encounter with dancing penguins, visit the Toymaker in his cosy log cabin, and see Santa’s sleigh poised to launch into a sky filled with twinkling stars.
- Santa’s Grotto: At the North Pole, stroll through the Secret Forest to meet Father Christmas in his charming Grotto, a place filled with the nostalgic warmth of Christmas past.
- Victorian Wonderland: Wander through the winding streets of Victorian London, where you’ll collect your gift from Tom’s Toy Shop (included with Child and Under 2s tickets) and follow the journey of Ebenezer Scrooge as he transforms from miser to merry after visits from the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.
- Mother Goose & Friends: Get into the holiday spirit with Mother Goose and her festive friends.
- Mouse Town: Explore a special Christmas version of our beloved Mouse Town.
We aim to create a relaxed, personal Grotto visit, allowing plenty of time for your entire family to meet Santa, take photos, and share your Christmas wishes.

Father Christmas is everything you’ve dreamed of—magical, friendly, and eager to hear about your Christmas wishes. He’ll chat with your little ones, asking if they’ve been good this year!

Important Information:
Your ticket time is the time you should arrive at Elf Check-In and start your experience. You are welcome to explore Fairytale Farm anytime on your visit day, so you can arrive earlier than your ticket time. However, please check in at Elf Check-In within your booked slot period. We strongly recommend arriving before 4pm if you wish to visit the animal area, as it is not fully illuminated after dusk, and many animals will be in their shelters. Additionally, if your visit is scheduled for the evening, be sure to stop by the International Elf Post Sorting Station before meeting Father Christmas, as it closes at 6pm on late-night opening days.
Special Group Rates for Schools
We offer a special group rate for school visits to our Christmas Fairytale event. For more details, please contact us at schools@fairytalefarm.co.uk. Please note that the International Elf Post Sorting Station is not open on weekdays during term time.
SEND Sessions
We are committed to providing a welcoming and accessible experience for all families. Our Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) sessions offer a more relaxed atmosphere tailored to children and adults with special needs. These sessions will be held on:
- Friday 6th December: SEND Day from 10am to 5pm
- Tuesday 10th December & Wednesday 11th December: SEND Evenings from 5pm to 6pm
During these sessions, families can enjoy the Christmas Fairytale experience in a quieter environment. The entire farm will be closed to other visitors during the evening sessions, ensuring a calm and personalized visit. On the SEND Day, while the farm will be open to the public, the Christmas Fairytale event will be exclusive to SEND visitors, providing a serene and enjoyable experience.
Book your SEND session tickets here.
Please note: These sessions are exclusively for children and adults with special needs and/or disabilities and their families.
The Small Print
How It Works:
All Christmas Fairytale event tickets include full admission to Fairytale Farm and our evening illuminations. Tickets can only be purchased online.
- The Child Christmas Fairytale Ticket includes full farm entry, the Grotto experience, and a present from Santa.
- Adult/Older Child Tickets are for those who do not wish to receive a present from Santa. This ticket includes farm admission and access to accompany a child into the Grotto.
- Annual Pass Members: Adults and children with an Annual Pass can enter Fairytale Farm for free and receive discounts on Grotto admission. A Member Child Christmas Fairytale Ticket is available at half the standard price for children visiting the Grotto. Other Annual Pass members can accompany a child holding a Child Christmas Fairytale ticket with a Member Adult Christmas Fairytale Ticket, which is free of charge.
- Under 2s: Children under 2 who wish to experience the Grotto and receive a present will need an Under 2 Christmas Fairytale Ticket. Babes in arms who are too young for the experience can enter the farm for free.
- Carers: Carers accompanying a disabled visitor are free of charge. One carer per disabled visitor.
If you wish to visit the farm without participating in the Christmas Fairytale event, please purchase a standard farm admission ticket. This ticket does not include access to the Grotto.
Remember: The time range in your ticket is your scheduled arrival at Elf Check-In to start your Christmas Fairytale experience. You are free to arrive at Fairytale Farm at any time on the day of your visit and stay as long as you like, but please be punctual for your Grotto visit (ideally within the 5 minute range on your ticket). For those with later slots, we suggest arriving earlier to enjoy other areas of the farm, as certain areas, like the animal section, may not be fully lit after dusk.
