Something curious is happening at Fairytale Farm this October half-term. There are clues to uncover, pumpkins to discover and a witch who would much rather decorate gingerbread than cause trouble!
Step into Scarily Ever After, our family-friendly Halloween adventure near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire. Follow Hansel and Gretel’s trail, fill your Spellbook Passport with your answers and enjoy a day of playful mischief, creativity and sweet surprises. Our daytime Halloween activities are included in standard admission, with face-painting available for a small extra charge.
From choosing a pumpkin to meeting Ginger the Witch, this is Halloween with a fairytale twist. And with Journey to Alice’s Wonderland – our magical ride new for 2026 – there is another story waiting to sweep you away.

Follow the clues: Hansel and Gretel’s Puzzle Trail
Riddle me this… can your family solve the mystery?
Set off along Hansel and Gretel’s Trail of Puzzles and Riddles with your very own Spellbook Passport. Put your heads together, look carefully and work out the answers as you explore. Complete the trail to earn your “No Trick, Just Sweet Treat!” reward.
Keep an eye out for the cheeky Crow-Scarers along the way. There is mischief afoot in this fairy tale!
A pumpkin to make your own
Follow the Pebble Trail to the Woodcutters’ Pumpkin Patch, where every child receives a pumpkin to take home.*
Then bring your ideas to life in the Woodcutters’ Carving Marquee. Carve a jack-o’-lantern or choose paints and give your pumpkin a character all of its own. Will yours be silly, spooky or wonderfully strange?
*One pumpkin per child.
Meet Ginger the Witch
Ginger has discovered that life is much sweeter when you swap wicked plans for gingerbread!
Meet our reformed fairytale witch and join her little apprentices for gingerbread decorating. With a sprinkle of imagination, you can give your gingerbread creation a deliciously individual look.

Visit the Crafty Candy Marquee for Halloween creativity with Creation Station. Let little imaginations take the lead and enjoy some wonderfully crafty fun together.
For an extra transformation, our Halloween face-painting can add the finishing touch to your look. A small additional charge applies.
Come dressed for the occasion
Witches, wizards, pumpkins and storybook characters are all welcome! Arrive in costume for a special trick-or-treat welcome. Dressing up is part of the fun, but it is entirely optional.
Take a journey into Wonderland
Make time for Journey to Alice’s Wonderland, Fairytale Farm’s magical ride new for 2026. Step into Alice’s curious world and make this half-term visit a tale of two adventures.

A little extra magic after dark
As daylight fades, the magic continues. Our Illuminated Evenings run every night throughout Scarily Ever After, and are included with your daytime admission at no extra charge. Enjoy the twinkling displays and see the farm in a different light.
On Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October, make it a Potions & Spells Halloween & Illuminations Party: the party package includes entry from 3pm, a hot meal with a drink, party activities from 5pm–7pm and illuminations.
Visiting during the day on 30 or 31 October? You can stay for the party at no extra admission cost, with meals purchased separately. Check the website for nightly illumination times and evening closing arrangements.

Daytime Halloween activities: 10am–5pm. Illuminations follow as daylight fades; please check the evening opening times for your date.

Is Scarily Ever After family-friendly?
Yes. The event is centred on fairytale characters, puzzles, pumpkins, treats and creative activities. If someone in your family is sensitive to particular sounds, lights or characters, please contact us before booking so we can explain what to expect.
Does every child receive a pumpkin?
Yes – our daytime pumpkin giveaway is one pumpkin per child. Follow the Pebble Trail to the Woodcutters’ Pumpkin Patch during your visit.
Do we need to dress up?
No – costumes are optional. If you do come dressed up, there is a special trick-or-treat welcome on arrival.
Are daytime and party tickets the same?
Standard daytime admission includes the daytime Halloween activities and nightly illuminations, with face-painting charged separately. On 30 and 31 October, daytime visitors can also stay for party activities free of charge, buying food separately. The £17.99 adult / £16.99 child party package is for admission from 3pm and includes a hot meal with drink, party activities from 5pm–7pm and illuminations.
