More on our Learning Hub

Fairytale Farm has launched its Learning Hub. Here are more details on the sessions that we are currently offering:

Budding Artists:

We all know there are many incredible benefits achieved from time immersed in creativity. If your child has a flair for creating, designing and letting their imagination run wild, Budding Artists is a great way to put their hands to new skills. This group explores different media from drawing and watercolour to simple pottery or constructing things out of wood. The activities are open-ended so they are accessible for all and where possible, will use recycled or sustainable resources. Occasionally experts will be invited to teach the children specific skills, plus we will learn lots about how things are made at Fairytale Farm – from the eco-brick building to the giant model dinosaurs in Dino Valley!

We will be using the fabulous creative writing and storytelling resources from The Phive to support our writers and help spark their imaginations.

Outdoor Learning Club:

We think that nature is the very best playground, and play is the very best way to learn. With this in mind, we have created the Outdoor Learning Club, which offers opportunities for observation, to learn about nature, and to record and reflect on our findings. Here, we combine developing literacy, speaking and listening skills with other learning opportunities, such as working closely with the animals on the farm and the natural world.

Each session will provide a balance of hands-on experiences, time to write individually or as a group and lots of chances to share thoughts and ideas.

Teen Outdoor Learning Club:

We are excited to launch a new group at Fairytale Farm Learning Hub. Many parents have written to us asking for more provision for teens. We have listened and have put together a brand new group which aims to encourage social time, mindfulness and building on our affinity with nature. Our practical learning activities will include gardening, interacting with the animals at Fairytale Farm, working closely with the seasons and changes in the natural world alongside building confidence and connections with other teens on a home educating path.

How to book:

Visit our Learning Hub Page to book your child’s place on either our Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 sessions. Spaces are very limited!
