Covid-19 Safety Measures

We are excited to welcome you back for a safe day out at Fairytale Farm!

Our Farm operation has changed in line with government guidance and for the foreseeable future we will only be accepting online ticket bookings.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I visit Fairytale Farm yet?

Fairytale Farm is open every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. We have restricted the number of visitors allowed on site and we are only accepting online ticket bookings with an allocated arrival timeslot. These are at a 10% discount to our normal prices. Each timeslot allows you to arrive within a 30 minute window. You can stay at Fairytale Farm for as long as you like.

In line with government guidance, we’ve made some changes to our farm operations to ensure we keep all of our visitors and staff safe.

How is Fairytale Farm going to make my day safe?

Fairytale Farm was awarded the ‘We’re Good to Go” Industry Standard from Visit Britain. This charter mark means that we have followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, have a risk assessment in place and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.

The safety of staff, visitors and animals is our top priority and we have reviewed all of our farm operations and made numerous ‘Covid-19 Secure’ changes across Fairytale Farm to maximise safety. These changes include the following, but please be advised that that government guidance may change, meaning our safety measures may change slightly too:

  • We have restricted the number of visitors at Fairytale Farm per day to ensure everyone can spread out around our mainly outdoor site.
  • We are only accepting tickets bookings that are booked online in advance on our website. Limited numbers of tickets are available from admissions.
  • When booking online visitors will be required to choose an arrival timeslot. Timeslots are there so we can manage the amount of visitors that arrive at Fairytale Farm throughout the day.
  • We have installed protective screens at Admissions, Beanstalk Cafe and the All Things Nice ice cream kiosk. The Beanstalk Cafe and All Things Nice kiosk are both fully open.
  • Our Huff & Puff Adventure Playground is open.
  • We have picnic areas for outdoor seating and visitors may bring their own food, and at busy times we have been using marquees to accommodate the additional spacing.
  • Animal petting is now able to take place, and will be running at 11am and 2pm next to the turkey enclosure, which is in our Alfie & Friends Animal Area.
  • Food and drink is available from the Beanstalk Cafe and All Things Nice kiosk. Please try to pay by contactless card if you can. There will be outdoor seating in Jack’s Yard and the Huff & Puff Adventure Playground. Indoor seating areas in the Beanstalk Cafe are open, with marquees to provide extra indoor seating at busy times.
  • We have hand washing facilities in the Beanstalk Cafe building and at the entrance to Alfie & Friends animal area, and have installed hand sanitiser points around the Farm. These are checked and refilled regularly.
  • Our team have increased our cleaning schedule throughout the day, across our site, including cleaning of buttons on electronic items.
  • If you are not feeling well with either one or more of the symptoms of Covid-19 – a fever, dry cough, loss of taste or smell, muscle pain, headache or difficulty breathing – please don’t visit Fairytale Farm. Stay at home and follow government and NHS 111 advice. We’ll be here once you’re symptom-free and better.

How do I book?

Go to our website www.fairytalefarm.co.uk and click BUY TICKETS NOW at the top of the page and you will be asked to select a date and an arrival timeslot.

We have restricted admission tickets per day in line with government guidance. Our visitor capacity at Fairytale Farm will be reviewed regularly, with the priority being to ensure social distancing is adhered to.

We realise this may mean tickets are not always available when you want to come, so we suggest our visitors book as far in advance as possible to ensure they secure the date they want to come.

Is there a discount on admission?

We are offering a 10% discount for online bookings, except for our Christmas Fairytale event.

Do I need to book a FREE infant ticket online in advance?

Yes. All visitors arriving at site need to have a pre-booked ticket for the day they are visiting, even if they are free to enter. Our online booking system will allow you to book these free tickets online for Under 2s.

Do I need to book a FREE carer ticket online in advance?

Yes. All visitors arriving at site need to have a pre-booked ticket, even if they are free to enter. Our online booking system will allow you to book these free tickets online for one FREE carer per special needs adult or child ticket. Additional carers will be required to purchase a standard full price adult/child ticket online to secure an arrival time slot.

I’m a Fairytale Farm Annual Pass holder, will I need to book?

We are asking all visitors, including Fairytale Farm Members, to select a timeslot online to arrive. This is so we can manage how many people we have at the farm per day. Fairytale Farm Members will not need to pay anything extra to reserve their online arrival timeslot, and should use the ‘Annual Pass Holder’ category on the website.

There is no guarantee that any visitor, including Fairytale Farm Members, will get entry to the farm if they haven’t booked an online timeslot.

I’m a Fairytale Farm Member – can I bring a guest with me on my visit?

Yes, however only if they have booked online in advance and secured an arrival timeslot.

If I or a member of my household have Covid-19 symptoms on the day that I have booked to visit what should I do?

It is really important that you please stay home and DO NOT visit Fairytale Farm. If you already have booked your online tickets, please email our team at info@fairytalefarm.co.uk and they will come back to you about moving your booking. This is subject to availability.

Why have you limited the number of tickets available?

Fairytale Farm is a mainly outdoor attraction, spread across 5.5 acres. But still we can get very busy at certain times of the day. The safety of our visitors and staff is our top priority.

Are Fairytale Farm’s opening hours the same?

The farm opening hours are the same, however we are asking ALL visitors including members to book an arrival timeslot in advance of visiting the farm. We are open 10am to 5pm.

How long can I stay at the farm?

You are welcome to stay at the farm all day from the time of your allocated arrival timeslot. We are open until 5pm (later on Illuminated Evenings and Christmas Fairytale event days).

Can I meet others at the farm?

Yes, currently this is acceptable. We are following all government guidance and will continue to do so in line with changes to this guidance.

Can I visit just for the Beanstalk Cafe and the Play Room?

Yes. Please note the Play Room has been converted to Rapunzel’s Kingdom and is now open.

Will I be required to wear a face mask?

Not at the present time. This is entirely down to personal preference, but please respect others at all times.

Will I be able to just turn up on the day if I haven’t booked a ticket?

Yes, we have a limited number of tickets available at our admissions desk, but we strongly advise all visitors to book in advance via our website.

Will I be able to arrive at the farm outside of my allocated arrival time?

Allocated arrival times are in place so that we can ensure visitors are more evenly spread out around Fairytale Farm, to avoid any congestion and ensure maximum protection for our visitors and staff. Therefore we will ask that you stick to your allocated arrival time. If the time you wish to come is not available please look to book for another day.

There is no guarantee that any visitor, including Fairytale Farm Members, will get entry to the farm if they haven’t booked an online time slot.

Will I be able to pay for items at the farm with cash?

To increase hygiene, Fairytale Farm is now a cashless business. We recommend paying for food and drink as well as items from our Gift Shop with contactless card if you can. If you do not have a payment card, we will have limited amount cash available as change so please try to give us the exact change.

Will everything be open in the farm?

Whilst we are excited to welcome visitors back and there will be lots of space to explore, the current situation means some areas will remain closed for now as we follow government guidance. The closed areas are:

All areas of the Farm are currently open.

Last updated: 05/03/2022

We will update this regularly as government guidance changes.

Will I be able to get food and drink when I visit Fairytale Farm?

Yes. There will be plenty of opportunities to get food and drink from the Beanstalk Cafe and from the All Things Nice ice cream kiosk (on peak days). We have ample indoor seating and two picnic areas.

Can I bring a picnic?

Yes. Our visitors are more than welcome to bring picnics to enjoy during their visit. We have plenty of outdoor picnic benches to use. We ask politely that all visitors clear rubbish and dispose in bins accordingly to help our team clean these areas easily throughout the day. There are also various spots to place picnic rugs on areas of grass, where you can still uphold social distancing. We also have a heated marquee.

How can I book a timeslot if I have a complimentary ticket?

As we have restricted tickets in line with government guidance, we ask that you contact Guest Services on info@fairytalefarm.co.uk to reserve your date of visit and timeslot. We have limited availability so your booking is not confirmed until you have received confirmation from us.

I have a question but cannot get through on the phone – what can I do?

We apologise if it takes us a little longer than usual to answer enquiries. You can find lots of information about our farm on our website. For anything else, please email  info@fairytalefarm.co.uk and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
