Planning permission granted for main building
Plans for the UK’s first family visitor attraction which is open to all but where everything is designed around the needs of children with sensory, learning and physical disabilities, moved a step closer this month with the granting of planning permission for the attraction’s main building. The building will be used as an indoor space for education and refreshments along with office and storage. The couple who are building this unique attraction are now appealing for help to enable them to complete this building.
The granting of planning permission for this two-storey building is a major step forward for us because it is essential that we have indoor facilities for when the weather is poor. Although it is an entirely timber building, it is a major undertaking for us and we do not have any financial support. We are therefore looking for help with certain aspects of the project. We need help in three areas: detailed construction drawings of the buildings to enable us to get Building Regulation approval; timber to be used in construction; and help from professional builders in actually building the structure.”
