Christmas Fairytale 2018

Poster for Christmas Fairytale 2018

Join us for a Christmas Fairytale - Saturdays and Sundays from 1 December to 23 December and 24 December.

At our magical 'Christmas Fairytale' event, children can meet Santa in his indoor fairytale grotto and receive a present, join in with various Christmas activities, enjoy all the usual Fairytale Farm attractions and see our enchanting Christmas lights, which are bigger and better for 2018. We have a whole new walk-through Castle as part of our Grotto, so make sure you come and explore this special new attraction, one of Fairytale Farm's biggest investments since opening in 2013.

Other Christmas activities include Christmas cookie decorating, a festive-themed hunt and mulled wine and mince pies for the parents.

The animal areas and adventure playground will be open until dusk, after which we switch on our Christmas lights, creating a wonderland of colour.

Grotto tickets are £5.70, plus normal admission, and this includes Santa visit, gift, Christmas cookie decorating plus the mince pie and mulled wine for the parents. Non-farm visitors can still meet Santa for £7.99.

Please note that Mouse Town - which has been specially themed for Christmas - will only be open between 12.30 and 1.30pm.

Illuminated Evenings 2018

Poster for illuminated evenings

Don't miss our Illuminated Evenings on Saturdays and Sundays from 13th October to 23rd December, and Monday 24th December.

The park will be open all day as normal, but when daylight fades the entire Enchanted Walk will become a magical wonderland of fairy lights, which will delight children and adults. The Mermaid Garden, Giant's Camera, The Extinct Band, Giant Party Poppers, and Light Fountains will be a blaze of colour and the Dancing Water Fountains will be illuminated. We also have new and updated features that were not part of last year's line-up, and our Fairytale Street will be illuminated.

The farm will stay open until one hours after dusk every weekend. We operate a reduced admissions price from 5pm (4pm from 28th October). The Beanstalk Cafe will be open throughout with a choice of hot and cold snacks.

The adventure playground and animal areas will close at dusk as the lights come on, so be sure to arrive in good time so you don't miss all that Fairytale Farm has to offer in the daylight. And, don't forget, our annual pass holders can visit for free, as many times as they like.

On these special event nights we will also be offering an all-in farm admission and food package. Our 'Illuminations and Supper' package is available from 5pm (4pm from 28th October) for £6.25 per person. This price gives evening entry to the Farm (with a chance to see the animals if you arrive promptly at 5pm), a soup with crusty bread or hot dog plus a hot or cold drink, and finish the evening with a stroll through the illuminated gardens after the lights switch on. A truly magical evening for the whole family. You can buy these in advance here for only £5.75 (a saving of 50p per person from this already discounted price). Note that the animal area and playground closes at dusk so please arrive as soon after 5pm as you can if you want to see these parts of the park before the illuminations switch on.

Buy standard tickets here, or discounted 'Illuminations and Supper' tickets here.

We have a unique Easter event in 2019, running all Easter weekend (from 19 to 22 April 2019). Our Giant Rabbit Burrow is open all through the Easter Weekend (until 4.30pm on Easter Monday), where visitors can meet the Easter Bunny. You can join in with lots of other activities this Easter, including hunting for six Golden Easter Eggs along the Enchanted Walk. There will be egg-shaped cookies to decorate in the Beanstalk Cafe, an opportunity to colour our Easter pictures in the Play Room and visitors can create an Easter lamb in our craft corner. The cookie decorating, Easter colouring and craft corner will continue right throught the two-week Easter holiday.

We are giving every dad HALF PRICE ENTRY to Fairytale Farm when accompanied by one full paying person, valid only on Father’s Day (Sunday 16th June). There will also be free activities taking place all day: Decorate a heart-shaped biscuit for your dad and get crafty and award him one of our special Father's Day rosettes. Plus all of our usual attractions are open.

Fairytale Festival 2019

You won’t want to miss Fairytale Farm’s second ‘Fairytale Festival’, which will run every day through the school summer holidays (precise dates to be finalised). With interactive fairytale storytelling that will bring some of the most famous fairytales alive, crafts and summer games, there will be something for everyone. Activities include creating a fairytale-themed scarecrow, helping to build Hansel & Gretel’s cottage, enjoying garden games on the lawn, and building an enchanting fairytale sandcastle.

Walking with Alpacas 2019

On Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer school holidays visitors to Fairytale Farm can walk with our amazing alpacas. Take one of these enchanting creatures around a farm trail and learn the art of training an alpaca to walk (alpacas are not naturally social creatures with anything other than another alpaca). It is a real one-to-one experience, with your very own alpaca.

Summer Holiday dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The sessions are at 12 noon and 3pm, with access from the Huff and Puff adventure playground. Charge is £2 per person walking. Each walk will be escorted by an experienced animal handler and parents can accompany young children on the walk.

Sci-Fi Weekend 2019

Fairytale Farm is being invaded by TV's most frightening aliens in July 2019 (date to be finalised) when the farm park holds a special Sci-Fi Weekend in aid of charity. The aim of the weekend is to raise money for Let's Play, a local Banbury-based charity for disabled children, and there will be opportunities to donate to the charity at various places around the farm.

The Sci-Fi Weekend runs from 10am to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

Family-friendly Halloween Event 2019

We have a family friendly Halloween event this year, from 26th October to 3rd November 2019, with free games and activities for younger children. We have free pumpkin carving, spooky biscuit decorating and get creative in our colouring corner and enter the on-site competition. If visitors come dressed up for the occasion they will receive a free treat. We also have face painting for a small extra charge.

And we have a special late night Halloween event on on Thursday 31st October - Halloween Night - where we combine the excitement of our illuminated gardens with Halloween activities to create a truly memorable evening out. Visitors arriving after 5pm can take advantage of our special ‘Illuminations and Supper’ all-in farm admission and food package and will be able to join in with the extra Halloween activities, as well seeing the farm and having a stroll through the illuminated Enchanted Walk. Special evening activities will include a workshop where children can make their own potions and spells ready to cast on All Hallows Eve, and a spooky story corner. (Note that those who have paid the full admission price earlier in the day can stay on and see the illuminations free of charge, and all the hot food can be purchased individually from our Beanstalk Cafe).
