Half-term Halloween fun at Fairytale Farm

BUY YOUR TICKETS TO OUR HALLOWEEN EVENT HERE.

Details of Halloween event

Our family-friendly Halloween event runs right through the October half term holiday, from Saturday 24th to Saturday 31st October, 10am to 5pm (two hours after dusk at weekends) with our spectacular illuminations switched on every evening as darkness falls. We have lots of Halloween activities going on all week. Carve your own pumpkin lantern, get your face painted into a spooky Halloween character, decorate a bat biscuit or a pumpkin-shaped cookie and get creative in our colouring corner and enter the on-site competition.

If you come dressed up in a Halloween costume, you can win a free family annual pass in our Post-a-Scary-Selfie competition. All you have to do is post your selfie, taken somewhere on Fairytale Farm, onto our Facebook page. The most scare-tastic photo, as judged by our staff, will win the annual pass. And as a bonus, everybody who enters into the 'spirit' of Halloween by coming dressed up will get a special chocolate treat.

Our Story

David Cameron opening Fairytale Farm

Fairytale Farm is the first mainstream visitor attraction where everything has been designed for children with disabilities - but that can be enjoyed by everybody - and where no pre-booking is required. You can read our full story here. We have achieved a phenomenal amount since the Prime Minister, David Cameron, cut the ribbon in 2013, but there is a lot more to do and we need your help to achieve it.

Rewards

In exchange for your support, we are offering a range of rewards and incentives that are not available to anyone else. These include branded gifts, unique farm visits, animal keeper experiences, a VIP party, opportunities to immortalise yourself on the sensory trail and lifetime passes with exciting perks. Read more about our rewards here.

Funding

We are trying to raise £91,500 for the following projects, all of which we aim to implement over the next 24 months:

• Two new interactive themed areas based on fairies and dinosaurs;
• Upgrading our existing cafe to make it more appealing and to enable it to be used for a variety of functions;
• Installing new chairs and tables in the cafe;
• Hoist for disabled children;
• Installing an interactive sound system for the Sea Creatures and Party Poppers on our Enchanted Walk;
• Creating a unique, interactive 'Giant's Camera', which takes photos and instantly posts on Facebook;
• Activity panels with things that can be turned, touched, make noise, etc;
• Giant willow tunnel over light fountains, so that the lights can be used all day long to create a colourful, moving light show;
• Creating a raised sandpit for wheelchair users;
• Animal handling building to allow animal petting in adverse weather and shelter for school groups;
• New toilet block at bottom of site
• Hay barn and feed store for the animal area;
• Automated water system for animals;
• Complete our new cafe building and party rooms, fit out and furnish;
• Create new enclosures/aviaries/buildings for small animal displays, e.g. birds, ferrets; and
• Extension to the Huff and Puff Adventure Playground to create a new toddlers playground to include new toddlers climbing equipment, special all-ability pedal tractor track and toddlers sandpit.

TOTAL: £91,500

Sci-Fi Weekend Returns to Fairytale Farm

Fairytale Farm is being invaded by TV's most frightening aliens again this summer, on Saturday and Sunday 15th and 16th August, when the farm park holds its second Sci-Fi Weekend in aid of charity. The aim of the weekend is to raise money for a local charity called Let's Play Banbury, which supports local disabled children, and there will be opportunities to donate to the charity at various places around the farm.

We will have some of the most famous aliens on TV and film roaming around the park all day, with lots of photo opportunities. View a Photo Gallery of last year's event here.

The Sci-Fi Weekend runs from 10am to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Put the date in your diary now!

We are lighting up our gardens *EXTENDED*

Photo of illuminations

*EXTENDED: Now lighting up every weekend in November and December right up to Christmas Eve!* We are currently illuminating our Enchanted Walk gardens for our special late-night Illuminated Evenings every Saturday and Sunday in September and October - plus every evening through the entire October half-term week. We will be switching on our fantastic lights at sunset, turning our gardens into a magical wonderland of colours and excitement. Make sure you arrive well before dusk so that you can make the most of the rest of the farm before it gets dark, as only the Enchanted Walk, Mouse Town and the Cafe remain open from dusk onwards. More information is on our Events Page.

Teddy Bears' Picnic Weekend

Teddy bears at wishing well

Come along to our Teddy Bears' Picnic Weekend on 25th and 26th July 2015.

Every child who brings a teddy bear to Fairytale Farm will receive a £1 gift voucher on entry. We will be holding a Teddy Bears' Picnic in the Huff and Puff Adventure Playground picnic area at 1pm. Any child who has brought along a teddy can buy a special discounted lunch box, or you can just bring along your own picnic. And that's not all; joining everybody at the picnic will be a storytelling teddy bear. We will also be holding a Best Dressed Teddy Bear competition, which will be judged by the storytelling teddy bear during the picnic.

All the other usual Fairytale Farm activities will be taking place - and your teddy bear can join in!
