Picnic time for teddy bears

Teddy Bears at Fairytale Farm

It is picnic time for teddy bears again at Fairytale Farm this May Bank Holiday Monday (2nd May 2016) as we once again hold our popular Teddy Bears Picnic event.

Every child who brings a teddy bear to Fairytale Farm will receive a £1 gift voucher on entry that can be spent on anything at the Farm.

The highlight of the day will undoubtedly be the picnic itself, which will be held at 1pm. Anybody can join in with the picnic, but any child who has brought along a teddy can buy a special discounted lunch box to share with their teddy bear at the picnic - or you can just bring along your own picnic.

Fairytale Farm's own storytelling teddy bear (pictured, right) will be joining in at the picnic and will entertain the children with a short story about a bear who receives the perfect gift.

We will also be holding a Best Dressed Teddy Bear competition, which will be judged by the storytelling teddy bear during the picnic.

All the other usual Fairytale Farm activities will be taking place - and your teddy bear can join in!

There is no extra charge for the event and discount tickets are available online: http://goo.gl/S02tsj

The Easter Bunny is Coming!

Easter eggs at Fairytale Farm

The Easter Bunny will be hopping along to Fairytale Farm and taking up residence once again in the Farm's Giant Rabbit Burrow every day through the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend (25th to 28th March). His basket of eggs is filling up in readiness for the opening at 10am on Good Friday, so come along and meet him. He will be telling a new Easter tale and every child who visits the Burrow will get a golden Easter egg. There are lots more egg-citing activities at Fairytale Farm this Easter, including an Easter Egg Hunt, Easter colouring and a chance to get creative decorating your own delicious cookie egg.

Entry to the Giant Rabbit Burrow is an additional £3 per child, but all other Easter activities are free! We are open 10am to 5pm right through the Easter weekend. More details here.

You can also buy discount park entry tickets here. Tickets to the Giant rabbit Burrow can be purchased on arrival at the admissions desk.

We are open every day from Saturday!

Fairytale Farm reopens on Saturday 13th February for the half term holiday and, for the first time ever, we will be staying open every day right through to the end of the October half term.

Our new goat, Titch

And we have some new attractions for February.

Our indoor play room and cafe has had a complete fairytale makeover, with newly painted murals that give it a magical Jack and the Beanstalk theme.

We have a new game that all the family can play together - a traditional game of skittles with a difference. The difference? They are huge!

In contrast to the giant skittles, our star attraction for February is actually quite small. Our brand new goat (pictured to the right at our recent visit to the Countrywide store in Banbury) is a Saanen goat. Saanan goats are a white or cream-colored breed of goat, named after the Saanen valley in Switzerland. In common with this breed of goat, she has a mellow, mild-mannered temperament and loves playing with children. But she is much smaller than the average Saanen goat, hence we have called her...Thumbelina! She will undoubtedly be a popular addition to Fairytale Farm as she joins the Billy Goats Gruff. And she has already become very close friends with Verity, our lovely sheep.
